Violent Death

cementary in winter with snow

When a person dies suddenly and violently because they have been killed, had an accident or taken their own life, nothing is the same for their loved ones. This participatory lecture is about support options for mourners who, in addition to the loss of an important person, also have to integrate the shock of sudden death, the confrontation with violence and stressful images of dying into their lives.

The aim is to understand grief processes in all their diversity and to realise this: No matter how dramatic the circumstances of death were - a person has died and their loved ones are grieving.
