First Encounter with Death – Cancer Diagnosis

Thomas has already had several encounters with death. In January 2022, he experienced his first personal confrontation with his own mortality in the form of a cancer diagnosis.

In this workshop, he will deal with ‘his’ cancer: its occurrence, possible meaning/message, and the treatment options he experienced (alternative therapy, chemotherapy, radiotherapy). Experiencing death up close – which has since receded into the distance again – is a profound, valuable experience!

Thomas will talk about his own experience, lead a role play in small groups, facilitate a structured exchange and finally reflect on and conclude the process together with the participants.
